Nokia WiFi and your Internet Service Provider (ISP)

What’s an Internet Service Provider?

An Internet Service Provider, or ISP, is the company that provides the broadband connection to your home through which you access the internet. This type of company can also be referred as Communication Service Provider (CSP).

All your personal devices such as computers, games consoles, smartphones and tablets connect to the outside world through your ISP.

ISPs come in all shapes and sizes in every country, so there are far too many to list here. Try Google or check out this list of Internet Service Providers by country on Wikipedia.

Do I need an ISP if I have Nokia WiFi?

Yes, you do. Your Nokia WiFi Beacons connect to your ISP’s modem, router or gateway. Once installed, your Beacons give you fantastic internet connectivity throughout your home.
