Fixing issues with backhaul connection (red LED)

If you are having issues with an extender Beacon having a red LED, devices aren't connecting to the extenders, or adding new extenders with the app is not working there might be an issue with the backhaul connection.

The backhaul can be reestablished by temporarily connecting the extender to the root Beacon with an Ethernet cable:

    1. Connect one end of the cable to the extenders WAN port (BLUE port)mceclip0.png
    2. Connect the other end of the cable to the LAN port (YELLOW port) of the root Beacon (the Beacon connected to the modem)

    3. Power up the extender Beacon and keep it connected for at least 1 hour (or longer) to reestablish the connection.

    4. After this has been completed it is ok to move the Beacon to the desired place (you can also use the app to test locations in advance on the WiFi point details screen).
Note: If after placing the Beacon the LED is red or yellow, please reboot it (turn the power off and on).
