Device connection notifications

You can choose to get a push notification each time any new device connects to your network or each time a specific device connects to your network. 

For new device connections, you will have the option to allow/deny internet access for these devices as they connect. (By default the devices automatically have access to the internet.)

Connection notifications - all new devices
To receive a push notification each time a new device connects to your network:

• Turn on notifications:
  • Tap Settings on the home screen of the Nokia WiFi mobile app.
  • Tap Connections notification under Network.
  • In the Connection notification page, tap the toggle button next to Enable notification to receive notifications when any new device connects to your network.
    (Notifications only is selected by default. This will send a connection notification and the new device will have access to the internet.)
• If you want to choose to approve the device's access to the internet:
  • Select Approval for internet access. If internet access is denied, it can be approved later on the Devices screen.
    
    • • • Tap Devices in the home screen of the Nokia WiFi mobile app.
        • On the Devices page, tap the connected device to enable internet.
        • On the device details page, tap Unpause in the internet access field.
          
          

Connection notifications - each time a specific device connects 
To receive a push notification each time a device connects to the Nokia WiFi network.

• Turn on the notification:
  
  • Tap Devices in the home screen of the Nokia WiFi mobile app.
  • Select the selected device to turn on connection notifications.
  • Tap Connection notifications and toggle on Enable notifications.
  • This will by default send a notification each time the device connection, if you would like to get the notifications only during certain days and/or hours you can set up a notification schedule.

Note: If you have not allowed the notifications while setting/signing into the app, you won’t be able to enable notification through the app. To enable notifications, you need to go to system settings and enable the notification for the Nokia WiFi mobile app.

Deleting a notification from the Notification screen

• Tap Bell icon in the home screen of the Nokia WiFi mobile app.
• Swipe the notification to be deleted from right to left and tap the delete icon .

Deleting all notifications from the Notification screen

• Tap Bell icon  in the home screen of the Nokia WiFi mobile app.
• Tap Delete All. All the notification will get deleted.
