Note: Port forwarding is disabled if the networking mode is configured as Bridge mode.
Port forwarding enables applications such as games to reserve ports to directly connect to other devices on the internet.
- Tap Settings at the bottom of the home screen of the Nokia WiFi Mobile App.
- In the Settings screen, swipe down and tap Advanced.
- Tap Port Forwarding.
- Tap Create a rule.
- Select an online or offline device for the port forwarding rule or tap Add Manually to add a device for the rule.
- Add the IP address reserved or modify it for the selected device and tap the check mark
at the top right corner to save the changes.
- In the Create a rule screen, add port values and select the protocol:

Displays the name of the port forwarding rule
IP Address
Displays the IP address
External Port
Enter the port value.
Allowed values: 1 to 65535.
Internal Port
Protocol
Select any of the following:
- TCP & UDP
- TCP
- UDP
- Tap the check mark at the top right corner to save the changes.
Note: If you are looking to forward a range of ports, you can do that in the Web GUI.
Delete a port forwarding rule
- Tap Settings at the bottom of the home screen of the Nokia WiFi Mobile App.
- In the Settings screen, swipe down and tap Advanced.
- Tap Port Forwarding.
- Tap > next to the port forwarding rule to be deleted.
- Tap Delete rule.
- Tap Delete rule to delete the rule and this cannot be undone.
