You can replace the root device in your network using the Nokia WiFi mobile app. This is needed in cases where the device has malfunctioned and needs to be replaced or if you want to swap the root device with another device for some other reason.
Replacing the root Nokia WiFi device:
- After replacing the root device, you will see the "Nokia WiFi is offline" screen in the mobile app and you will have the option to Set up new network.
- This will setup the new root device in a 'new network' and the old settings will be erased.
- You will first need to factory reset the root device and all of the extender Beacons in your network. Use a paper clip to press and hold the Reset button until the LED is flashing red.
- Follow the instructions for setting up a new network.
