How to change the encryption mode of the root Beacon

In some cases you may want to change the WiFi channel manually to improve device connectivity. In the Nokia WiFi Beacons you can do this in the Web GUI (Beacon 1 and Beacon 3 only).

  1. Open a web browser while connected to the Nokia WiFi network and go to the WebGUI http://www.webgui.nokiawifi.com (you can also use the default gateway IP address: http://192.168.18.1. )
  2. Login with the user name and password that is on the sticker of your root device.
  3. Select Network 
  4. Go to Wireless 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, there you will see the option to change the encryption mode.
